There’s also Kingdom of Heaven from that year. Budget was $130 million and it made about $212 million worldwide, but the domestic gross for this was only $47 million.

The reported budget on Kingdom of Heaven ranges from about $135m down to $110m, which is likely the case after tax breaks. Fox had overseas investors put up $45m of the budget and the film did perform well overseas and yes, it did tank in the US. It’s gross was definitely a disappointment, but it was designed for the global market and performed well on home video everywhere. It recouped its costs pretty quickly.

Dark Water?
BoxOfficeFlops
Dark Water was definitely a disappointment, but I did not include it because I have not found any info on the budget. The $30 million budget on imdb could have been posted by anyone and none of the trades were informed by Disney either. The $60 million budget posted on the-numbers.com just seems ridiculous. Bill Mechanic’s Pandemonium production shingle financed the movie and it was the first of what was to be 15 - 20 movies distributed by Disney. No other movies were made after Dark Water.
